Portland is a bzzzz with this weekend’s showdown between The Portland Bazaar hosted by Design Sponge and Crafty Wonderland’s Craft Extravaganza!

All this holiday shopping buildup has inspired me to make a Gift Guide! The Top 5 in holiday card series, covetable gifts, DIY books and wrapping papers.

1. Rifle Paper Co.  the best part: these are postcards, not note cards!

2. Concertina Press nautical themed paper goods shop based in Cape Cod

3. Egg Press based in Portland. BEST shaped and patterned letterpress cards ever

4. Oblation Papers and Press based in Portland. I s’pose a plug for one of my stores, but I really love the idea behind this series. The married couple that started Oblation took their two kids’ drawings and turned them into letterpress cards :) 

5. Holiday by Edward Gorey cuz he’s THE BOMB.
